Most retail media agencies were built for the biggest brands in the world and grudgingly make room for everyone else. UPCPilot was built the other way around — for the local and regional CPG brands the big agencies won’t take, don’t understand, and won’t quote a price to.
The experience behind it is operator experience. Three years running retail media in-house for a locally owned regional dairy brand: ecommerce revenue, the digital shelf, the reporting, the buyer conversations. Private label eating share off the shelf was not a statistic there, it was the quarterly problem. This practice exists because plenty of good regional brands are losing online for want of someone who has actually done the work.
