Where the experience comes from.
UPCPilot is new. The person running it is not. Rather than dress up a wall of logos we did not earn, here is the actual work behind the method — three years of running retail media in-house for a locally owned regional dairy brand.
One brand, from zero.
In 2024 this brand was spending nothing on retail media. Everything below came from building the practice from a standing start, and every figure is stated as a change rather than a dollar amount because the brand’s absolute numbers are its own.
Roughly five times the revenue
No retail media presence at all in 2024. Sponsored placement was built where the brand already had distribution and velocity, alongside the listing work that decides whether the click converts. Instacart revenue today is about five times what it was.
Down by about a third
The more interesting number. The share of sales that needed an ad to happen fell from roughly 30% to roughly 21% over the same period. Stronger pages and better organic rank meant growth stopped depending on paid placement, which is the opposite of what a percentage-of-spend agency is paid to produce.
Up roughly three and a half times
Walmart was a channel the brand had not worked at all. Standing it up properly — listings first, then Walmart Connect placement — took monthly Walmart sales up about three and a half times.
One number, honestly reported.
We report on platform-attributed sales — the product moved that Instacart, Walmart and Amazon record natively. No vanity metrics, no black box. When we show you a result, it is the number the retailer itself stands behind, and we will tell you plainly when a change cannot be attributed to the advertising.
